I'm impressed with the renovated Calgary Co-Op in Crowfoot!

So many changes for the better - more international food items like frozen durian, frozen jackfruit, aged beef, new bakery, new deli, new curry bar, coffee roasted on site and made fresh, salad bar, pizza, entrees to go.  There's also tables and chairs for people to eat and drink.

Coffee comes in 3 intensities - mild, medium or bold.

Tried the vindaloo curry and tikka masala.  Very good.  Comes with naan bread or basmati rice.

Had the pizza as well - freshly baked - quite good.

Salad Bar - this I love!  So many different veges/cheeses/dressing for a fixed price.  Comes in 3 different sizes.

I purchased two dry aged 28 days beef steaks of Friday before Christmas. When I tried to cook the steaks, at  the same temperature and same time as I have done it dozens and dozens times before I realized that even though I payed for dry aged beef, what I received was regular steaks!
Had I known they were out of dry aged meet I wouldn't have bothered.
Its not the cost of the steaks but the greed and lying thats bothering me the most.

Thank you CO-OP for ruining my Christmas dinner!

    Your loyal customer,

A bad experience can ruin many good.

When I was filling up my fuel today I had one of these bad experiences.

Refuelling is a standard procedure - you do it often enough to develop a routine. My routine includes having a fuel log which I or my wife write after the nozzle switches off. After I have done so I saw that the displayed total was up a couple of cents and looking closer I saw that the pump was still counting up a cent every other second.

I went into the shop to tell the guys that something is wrong. The fellow from the full service pump took a look at it, topped up an additional dollar, hung up the nozzle and said 'all is fine - the pump is just leaking'.

So a leaking pump is fine?!? When I told him that I will report this to the manager he turned away and said 'Oh f***!'

End of the story: The manager gave me a dollar refund and the nozzle is still leaking.

    Love the carry out service.

The floor staff always help me find what I need.

The cheese counter is wonderful and diverse.
